ORDER
The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.04.2025 for the offences punishable under Section 379 of IPC in Crime No.175 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner broke open the window glass of the de-facto complainant's car and robbed his laptop, ICICI credit card, cheque leaf and important documents worth about Rs.1,15,000/-. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that investigation in this case completed and charge sheet filed in C.C.No.739 of 2025 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Salem. Hence, prayed for granting bail to the petitioner. 2/4
4.The learned Government Advocate strongly opposed for granting bail to the petitioner stating that the petitioner has got 24 previous cases of similar nature. For the similar offence, PT warrant issued against the petitioner and he was arrested in Crime No.248 of 2025 on the file of Anna Nagar Police Station, Madurai. He further submitted that investigation in this case completed and charge sheet filed in C.C.No.739 of 2025 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Salem.
5.Considering the submissions made on either side, it is seen that 24 previous cases of similar nature are pending against the petitioner. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and hence, the criminal original petition is dismissed.
