The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to consider his representation dated 11.01.2024 seeking correction in the revenue records as per the order passed by the Zonal Deputy Tahsildhar, in his proceedings in Mu.Mu(A2 7175/1997) dated 27.08.1997.

It is the case of the petitioner that the property situate in Survey Nos. 19/17 and 19/16 in North Street, R.R.Kuppam Village, Ulundurpettai Taluk, Kallkurichi District originally belonged to the petitioner, his brother / Palaniappan and his Paternal uncle / Gnanaprakasam. It is the case of the 2/6
petitioner, his paternal uncle / Gnanaprakasam executed a Will dated 17.06.1996 bequeathing the property to petitioner and his brother. After the death of petitioner's paternal uncle, he submitted a representation before the Tahsildar, Ulundurpettai seeking mutation of revenue records. Based on the application submitted by the petitioner, the Zonal Deputy Tahsildhar passed an order on 27.08.1997 for mutation of revenue records. However, the said order has not been implemented and the revenue records were not mutated as per the order. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 11.01.2024 seeking mutation of revenue records as per the order by the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar on 27.08.1997 and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 11.01.2024 will be considered on its own merit within the time fixed by this Court, after issuing necessary notice to the parties interested.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.01.2024 and pass final orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
