Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the panel for the year 2002-03 and give promotion as Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies uninfluenced by the disciplinary proceedings in Na.Ka.No.353/98 dated 31.10.2000.

ORDER
Mr.P.Nagaraj filed O.A.No.1897 of 2003 before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal, Chennai seeking a direction to the respondents to include his name in the panel of the year 2002-03 and to give promotion as Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, uninfluenced by the disciplinary proceedings in Na.Ka.No.353/98 dated 31.10.2000. Thereafter, the matter came on transfer and renumbered as the present writ petition.

2. When the matter was taken up, Mr.P.Ganesan, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that during the pendency of the matter, the disciplinary proceedings ended with the punishment imposed against the petitioner and thereafter the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents also, on instructions, stated that the petitioner has been given promotion subsequently.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate for the respondents that the petitioner has been subsequently given promotion after imposing punishment and that he has also retired from service on reaching the age of superannuation, this writ petition is dismissed, as nothing survives for adjudication.
