Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to issue patta to the petitioner's house property situated at Plot No.1-C & 2-C, extent of 3600 sq.ft., in its survey No.188/8 part, situated at Madurakali Nagar, Madipakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District. O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to issue patta to his house property situated at Plot No.1-C & 2-C, measuring an extent of 3600 sq.ft., in survey No.188/8 part, situated at Madurakali Nagar, Madipakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District.

2. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property purchased by him under the registered documents dated 14.05.2007 and he is in possession and enjoyment of the same, by constructing house. At the time of applying patta, he was informed that the above stated property was classified as "Nanjai Anadeenam". Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 08.07.2023 to the first respondent seeking issuance of patta in his name, by taking into consideration his long possession of the said property. However, the said representation has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.D.Gopal, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will 2/4

be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.07.2023 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
