O R D E R
Seeking directions to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2025, for laying tar road on the street and installation of street name board in Kasturibai Nagar First Cross street, which falls under Anakaputhur Village, Pallavaram Taluk, Chengalpattu District within jurisdiction of zone -1 ward-1 of Tambaram, the present writ petition is filed.

3. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4.The petitioner is a resident of Kasturibai Nagar 1st Cross Street, which extends to approximately 10 metres on east to west and 50 metres on north to south, with a width of around 10 feet. Nearly 25 families reside near the street, which does not have a proper tar road laid for many years. The petitioner stated that the road remains a mud and stone path, with water logging and potholes during the rainy season, causing severe inconvenince and hardship to the residents, particularly senior citizens and school going children. The petiitoner further stated that the absence of a street name board made it difficult for visitors and essential services like ambulances and fire engines to locate the street, thereby endangering the lives and well-being of the residents. In the said circumstances, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 15.04.2025, requesting for laying tar road and installation of a street name board, but there was no response. According to the petitioner, the continued inaction is arbitrary, unjustified, and violates the legal obligation of the respondents to consider and dispose of the said representation within a reasonable time. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ peition seeking directions to the authorities concerned to dispose of his representation within a time frame as stipulated by this Court.
6. Though many issues were raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner's submitted that it would suffice if, this Court directs the 2nd respondent, to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2025, within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
7. In view of the above facts and considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent, to consider the petitioner's Page No.4 of 6
representation dated 15.04.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
