O R D E R
[Order of the Court is made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ of mandamus has been instituted to direct the 1st respondent to process the representation given by the petitioner seeking premature release of convict prisoner.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the application has not been processed, which resulted in institution of the present writ petition.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the application submitted will be processed by following the procedures as contemplated.
4. In view of the facts and circumstances, the respondents are directed
to consider the application and take a decision on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
