By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner came forward to file this writ petition seeking to dispose of the application dated 19.08.2016 in and by which, he sought permission to conduct cultural event which include, song and dance programme, in connection with Vinayagar Chathurthi.

3.When the matter was listed 'for admission' on 29.08.2016, Mr.K.Thangapandi, learned Government Advocate accepted notice on behalf of the respondent and sought time to get instructions. 4.When the matter is listed today, Mr.K.Thangapandi, learned Government Advocate produced a memo of the respondent, wherein, it has been stated that for conducting the cultural event, the orders of this Court is required and if they conduct the same, without any necessary permission, stringent action will be taken. 5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner expresses the apprehension that the petitioner intend to conduct Ganesh Chathurthi festival without cultural event and necessary https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

permission may be accorded by the respondent. 6.The apprehension expressed by the petitioner is unfound for the reason, that the memo dated 20.08.2016 sent by the respondent to the petitioner, speaks only about the cultural event and not with regard to the conducting of the Vinayagar Chathurthi festival. However, it is also made clear that for installation of Vinayagar Statue unless the petitioner secures necessary permission in the permissible place, he cannot do so. 7.The writ petition is disposed of subject to the above observation. No costs.
