The petitioners, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 147,294(b), 323,384,506(1),306,116 of I.P.C in Crime No.268 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners unlawfuly assembled and abused the deceased in unparliamentary language and further demanded a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- from the deceased and also extorted Rs.20,000. It is alleged that the act of the petitioners induced the deceased to commit suicide, thereby abetted to commit sucide of the deceased. Hence the deceased committed suicide by consuming Profigan plus which is a poison. Hence the wife of the deceased has registered the case against the petitioners.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would contend that the petitioners are innocent persons and a false case has been foisted against them. He would further submit that the petitioners are no way connected with the said occurrence.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would contend that the petitioners has induced the deceased to commit suicide. Hence the deceased committed suicide by consuming Profigan plus which is a poison. He further submitted that the investigation is still pending. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
5.Heard both side and perused the materials available on record. 6.Considering the gravity of offence charged against the petitioners and investigation is an initial stage, this Court is of the view that the matter requires further investigation. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
