This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tiruppur to speedily dispose of the case in C.C.No.558 of 2014.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. It is seen that the petitioner is facing prosecution in C.C.No.558 of 2014 before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Tiruppur, for an offence u/s 420 IPC. In the final report, the respondent police has cited 7 witnesses, including the Investigation Officer. PW1 was examined-in-chief on 11.09.2015 and he has been cross-examined. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that PW-1 has been cross-examined. Now, the petitioner is before this Court, for a direction to complete the trial expeditiously.

Taking into consideration the fact that 7 witnesses only have been cited by the respondent police, this Court directs the respondent police to produce the said witnesses before the Trial Court and Judicial Magistrate-I, Tiruppur, is directed to complete the trial with six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided, the accused cooperates with the Trial Court by cross-examining the witnesses on the day they are examined-in-chief as directed by the Supreme Court in Vinod Kumar vs. State of Punjab [2015(1) MLJ (Crl.) 288]. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
