JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by C.KUMARAPPAN J.) Learned counsel for the appellant would submit that the direction given by the learned Single Judge in WP.No.15144 of 2022, dated 27.06.2022 was complied with. In pursuance thereof, the contempt petition filed by the respondent was dismissed.

2. While looking at the orders of the contempt petition, learned Judge has recorded that it is for the respondent to get electricity connection separately from the Board, and that the scope of the contempt cannot be extended to give directions to other statutory authorities.

3. In the case on hand, learned counsel appearing for the respondent would fairly concede that bunk shop has been restored. However, the grievance is that he was not able to get electricity connection and other license.

4. As rightly recorded by the learned Judge in the contempt petition, it is for the petitioner to approach the statutory authorities separately.

5. With the above observations, the present writ appeal is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed (S.M.S.,J.) (C.K.,J.) 02-02-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order GD
