O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to grant permission and provide police protection to the petitioner's temple festival to conduct the cultural programs on the eve of Aadi festival in Sri Devi Karumariamman Aalayam, situate at Ramakamathupuram, Thiyagaraya Nagar, Chennai-600 017 scheduled to be conducted from 14.08.2019 to 18.08.2019 between 7.00 p.m and 10.00 p.m by considering petitioner's representation dated 6.8.2019.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3. It is seen from the records that a representation dated 06.08.2019 has been filed. However, there is no proof to show that it was given to the police. Therefore, this Court is not in a position to grant the relief as sought for by the petitioner.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to give fresh representation to the respondent police seeking for police protection and the respondent police shall act upon the same in accordance with law.
