Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to approve the appointment of the petitioner as Assistant Professor of Botany in the 4th respondent college with effect from 29.07.2010 on the basis of her representation dated 06.09.2013 with all monetary benefits.

The petitioner was appointed as Assistant Professor in Botany https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
by the 4th respondent. Her appointment was made against a sanctioned post. The 4th respondent submitted a proposal to the second respondent, requesting approval of appointment of the petitioner. Since there was no follow up action taken by the second respondent, the petitioner submitted a representation on 06.09.2013 requesting the second respondent to approve her appointment as Assistant Professor in Botany with effect from 29.07.2010. Even then there was no follow up action taken by the second respondent. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.
2. The second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 06.09.2013 on merits and as per law and taking into account the fact that she was appointed against a sanctioned post. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
