Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 29.09.2013, 13.06.2014 and 27.02.2015 and grant conversion for being appointed as Sub Inspector of Police (Taluk Police) by granting age relaxation to the petitioner in the light of G.O.Ms.No.312 Home (Pol.III) Department, dated 04.04.2003 and G.O.Ms.No.1165, Home (Pol.III) Department, dated 06.08.2007,within a stipulated time frame.

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to consider his representations for being appointed as Sub-Inspector of Police (Taluk Police) by granting age relaxation to him in the light of G.O.Ms.No.312, Home (Pol.III) Department, dated 04.04.2003 and G.O.Ms.No.1165, Home (Pol.III) Department, dated 06.08.2007, within a stipulated time frame.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has the requisite qualifications for the said conversion, and hence this Court may direct the respondents to consider his representations as per the orders passed by this Court in respect of similarly placed persons, in W.P.Nos.8982, 6526 and 6727 of 2015 dated 13.10.2015 and in W.P.No.1599 of 2016 dated 19.01.2016.
3. Mr.A.Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader, took notice for the respondents and submitted that if there is no punishment subsisting in respect of the petitioner, his prayer for conversion could be granted. The said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader is placed on record.
4. In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 29.09.2013, 13.06.2014 and 27.02.2015 and pass appropriate orders in the light of the orders passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.8982, 6526 and 6727 of 2015 dated 13.10.2015 and in W.P.No.1599 of 2016 dated 19.01.2016, as expeditiously as possible.
