Both counsel present and heard.

2. The Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking police protection for the Erusi amman temple festival for the period from August 23 to September 15 of 2019. Inasmuch as the period for which the police protection has been sought for by the petitioner had already expired, it is evident that the relief sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.

3. In the light of the abovesaid factors, the petition having become infructuous and as nothing further survives in the matter, accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
