When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) submit that it is a bailable offence.

Considering the representation made on both sides and considering that the offences under Sections 115 and 351 of BNS Act are bailable in nature, the question of granting anticipatory bail will not arise, therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Hence the petitioner is at liberty to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law.
