The order under challenge has passed under Sections 203 and 204

(2) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, cancelling the cheque signing power of the petitioner .

In view of the fact that a Special Officer has appointed for the post and the petitioner's position has ceased to exist, nothing survives in the prayer sought for by the petitioner. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P is closed.
