The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to consider the representation sent by the petitioner on 24.04.2025 and consequently transfer the petitioner from Edapaddi to Namakkal.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's wife passed away recently and that he is now solely responsible for the care of his eight year old daughter and aged parents. It is further submitted that although the petitioner was transferred to Edapaddi in the year 2023 and has been continuing there, in view of the present family 2/5
circumstances, he seeks a transfer to Namakkal. In this connection, he has submitted a representation dated 24.04.2025, which is still pending with the respondents.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would invite the attention of this Court to the fact that this is the petitioner's first transfer in a span of nine years and further submit that they would consider the said representation of the petitioner within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2025, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
