ORDER
The petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide employment assistance to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's
representation dated 28.03.2025.

The case of the petitioner is that during the year 1992, the respondents acquired 196 acres of land situated in Thathaiyangararpatty Village, Salem District for expansion of third respondent's company and thereby 70 cents of land belonging to the petitioner's grandfather namely Mariappan was also acquired by the third respondent company. Since a meagre sum was granted for the irrigated and unirrigated lands, the same was not accepted by the majority of the land owners and after various rounds of litigations, the matter was settled by the Hon'ble Supreme Court awarding a sum of Rs.1,75,000/- per acre for the disputed lands. Seeking to grant the very same relief, the petitioner filed a writ petition in W.P.No.7533 of 2012 before this Court, wherein this Court vide order dated 09.08.2017 allowed the said writ petition, granting a sum of Rs.1,75,000/- per acre for their lands.
3. Aggrieved over the same, the third respondent filed a writ appeal in W.A.No.1411 of 2017 and the same was dismissed vide order dated 11.12.2017. In pursuance thereof, the third respondent settled the enhanced compensation to the petitioner only in the year 2021. However, the respondents 2 and 3 assured that atleast one member from each family of the land owners, who lost their livelihood and were displaced due to the land acquisition, would be provided employment in the third respondent's company, in terms of G.O.M.S.No.324
(Revenue Department) dated 18.03.1986. Seeking employment assistance in accordance with the said Government Order, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 28.03.2025 to the respondents. However, no action has been taken on the same, nor has any response been received. Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
