By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, for a direction to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.12.2024 for appointment on compassionate ground to the petitioner's son K.Guna, since the petitioner has been medically unfit for the current job with 100% disability.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as Salesman by the Respondents-Society on 01.02.1997 and his services were regularised on 09.02.2007. Thereafter, the petitioner met with a road accident on 22.02.2024 and he suffered 100% disability. Thereafter, on 11.09.2024 the order of retirement was passed on medical ground with effect from 03.07.2024. It is the further submission of the petitioner that on account of medical invalidation of the petitionerG.Krishnan, he sent a representation for compassionate appointment for his son-K.Guna, vide his first representation dated 03.07.2024 and the said representation was rejected on 03.04.2025 and subsequently, he has sent another representation on 30.12.2024.

At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 invite the attention of this Court that on 03.04.2025 the petitioner's earlier similar representation dated 03.07.2024 has been considered and rejected the petitioner's request. However, there was a delay in communicating the said order to the petitioner. Today, the Additional Government Pleader served a copy of the order dated 03.04.2025 to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

6. In view of the subsequent development, the present writ petition has become infructuous. However, the petitioner is given liberty to challenge the rejection order dated 03.04.2025 in accordance with law.

7. In the result, the Writ Petition is closed giving liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 03.04.2025. No costs. 11.07.2025 Index : Yes/No Speaking order /Non Speaking Order dm 4/6
