Prayer : The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to restore the electricity service connection in S.C.Nos.006-006-29 and 30 at Door No.32, Muniram Pandian Street, Old Washermenpet, Chennai-600021 within stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

Muniram Pandian Street, Old Washermenpet, Chennai-600021 within stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2.The petitioner in person appeared yesterday and informed this Court that he has already paid Rs.2,50,000/- to the Electricity Board towards the demand amount and therefore, there is no arrears of due. It is further informed that the domestic electricity service connection has already been restored and in respect of commercial connection, the same is yet to be restored.
3.The matter was posted today and the learned counsel, Mr.C.Prakasam appeared on behalf of the writ petitioner also informed this Court that he has given change of vakalat. However, the learned counsel for the respondent Board informed this Court that the writ petitioner had already deposited Rs.2,50,000/- and he has to pay the balance arrears of Rs.22,119/-. In the event of paying the said arrears of consumption charges, the commercial service connection also will be restored by the respondents. In view of the submissions made by the respective parties, the respondents are directed to issue a fresh notice to the writ petitioner, setting out the break up details in respect of the demand and on receipt of the notice, the writ petitioner is directed to settle the entire arrears of amount and on settling the arrears, the respondents shall restore all the electricity service connections in the premises of the writ petitioner.
4.With these directions, the Writ Petitions stand disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
