Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 17.08.2016 made to the respondents, to grant permission in order to conduct the program and to give protection for the said programs which are schedule to be conducted on 05.09.2016 to 11.09.2016 at Anna Street, Aannal Dr.Ambedkar Nagar, Perungudi, Near Ramana Building.

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.08.2016 seeking permission to conduct the program and to give protection for the said programs which are schedule to be conducted on 05.09.2016 to 11.09.2016 at Anna Street, Aannal Dr.Ambedkar Nagar, Perungudi, Near Ramana Building.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

It is seen that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 17.08.2016 by post, to the second respondent seeking permission to install Vinayagar statue as part of the Vinayagar Chathurthi celebration. The petitioner is directed to go in person and give a fresh representation to the second respondent police. On such representation being given, the same shall be enquired into, to find out if there are any rival parties and taking into consideration the law and order issues etc., the second respondent is directed to pass orders, either granting or refusing permission as the case may be within three days thereof.
With the above direction this petition is closed. No costs.
