ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- (The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 23.09.2021 for the offences under Sections 419, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120B, 420 & 511 of IPC, in Crime No.422 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 22.09.2021, the defacto complainant who is the Branch Manager of Punjab National Bank, Purasaivakkam Branch, received a cheque bearing No.451641 for a sum of Rs.9,99,91,000/- and on suspecious verified with the account holder during which, it was found that the alleged cheque was originally issued in favour of one Sachin Sen for an amount of Rs.8,737/-. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner has been suffering incarceration for more than 55 days from 23.09.2021 and he would pray for grant of bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would raise strong objection stating that the petitioner along with other accused based on a fabricated cheque attempted to encash Rs.9,99,91,000/-. He would further submit that now the case has been transferred to CCB for further investigation.

5.Considering the nature of allegation levelled against the petitioner and that the investigation is in initial stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
