O R D E R

By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the Respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2025 and disburse the Petitioner's husband late Lakshmanan arrears of pension, dependent pension, provident fund and death benefits to the Petitioner within the time limit fixed by this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the 2/6

petitioner's husband was working as Village Administrative Officer at Vellaikinar Village and during his life time, there was a criminal case filed against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and the Trial Court has convicted him on 29.12.2015. Aggrieved with the said order, her husband has preferred a criminal appeal in Crl.A.No.20 of 2016, wherein the Appellate Court has acquitted the petitioner's husband on 25.06.2018. Subsequent to that, the dismissal order of the petitioner's husband was revoked and he was regularised in the service. Thereafter, the petitioner's husband died on 19.07.2022. It is the submission of the petitioner that after the death of her husband, she was sanctioned family pension. But no terminal benefits of her husband was settled. In this connection, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents on 06.01.2025 and such representation is pending with the respondents.

5. At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation according to it's merits and in accordance with law, within a reasonable time.

6. In such view of the submission, without going into the merits of the 3/6

writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
