PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to grant police protection to the petitioner for constructing the new compound wall by demolishing the old wall in the property admeasuring 25 sq. meter. comprised in Sy.No.506/B situated Vettavalam Village and Tiruvannamalai Taluk and For Petitioner : Mr. R. Rajarajan For Respondents (1 to 4) : Mr.A.Damodaran Additional Public Prosecutor

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to afford police protection to the petitioner in order to enable the petitioner to construct a compound wall.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no representation/complaint has been received from the petitioner seeking for police protection.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is already an FIR pending investigation before the 2nd respondent in Crime No.224 of 2023. 2/4

4.Insofar as the pending investigation is concerned, the same will be investigated by the 2nd respondent in accordance with law. However, if the petitioner is seeking for police protection, a separate complaint shall be given by the petitioner in person to the 2nd respondent and the same will be considered in accordance with law.
