PRAYER: This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of Mandamus by directing the second respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and other office bearers of Chinnathirai Nadigar Sangam based on the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2021.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and other office bearers of Chinnathirai Nadigar Sangam based on the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2021. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The petitioner sent a representation to the respondent Police on 16.08.2021 seeking adequate police protection to the petitioner and the office bearers of Chinnathirai Nadigar Sangam.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner had a meeting with the Joint Commissioner (Labour) and resolved the issue. He further submitted that the petitioner appeared before the respondent police and gave a statement that the purpose for which the earlier representation was given is no more in existence.

4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is closed. However, as and when if any situation arises for police protection, a fresh representation may be given by the petitioner and the same would be considered by the respondent police accordingly. No costs.
