The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 457 & 380(2) of IPC in Crime No.121 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 06.04.2021, the petitioner had trespassed into the temple and committed theft of idols worth about Rs.50,000/-. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case since he happens to be the friend of main accused. Therefore, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner had trespassed into the temple and committed theft of idols worth about https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

shk Rs.50,000/-. He would further submit that there are 4 previous cases of similar nature as against the petitioner. Therefore, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel, and also taking note of the fact that there are 4 previous cases of similar nature as against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
