The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 4(1) (aaa) r/w 4(1-A) of TN Prohibition Act in Crime No.795 of 2019, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused transported 720 litres of Pondy arrack illegally. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the petitioner is having 7 previous cases against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the bad antecedents of the petitioner and also now there is no change in circumstances of this case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
