Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to state if the Tamil Nadu Government is considering the notification of the Central Government and to frame a scheme recognizing and encouraging the work of the doctors/petitioner during the Covid period by providing with an incentives/marks in the examination conducted by the Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB) dated 26.06.2023 vide Notification No.11/MRB/2022 for recruitment of Assistant Surgeon (General) and pass such further orders. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to state if the Tamil Nadu Government is considering the notification of the Central Government and to frame a scheme recognizing and encouraging the work of the doctors/petitioner during the Covid period by providing with an incentives/marks in the examination conducted by the Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB) dated 26.06.2023 vide Notification 2/4

2. Learned standing counsel appearing for the 5th respondent Medical Recruitment Board (MRB) would submit that pending writ petition the petitioner as well as other similarly placed persons were granted incentive of 5 marks during the Covid pandemic vide G.O.Ms.No.278, Health and Family Welfare (B1) Department dated 17.08.2023. Hence nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the 5th respondent, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
