Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 25.07.2014 and reimburse Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) towards the spoiled or misused non judicial stamp paper purchased vide No.A763242 from the licensed stampt vendor bearing Lic.No.28/1406/B3/96Ms(c).

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners would state that they have purchased a non judicial stamp paper for the denomination of Rs.25,000/- bearing No.A 763242 from one V.Santha, Stamp vendor, bearing License No.28/1406/B3/96 Ms (c) at New No.9, Old No.6, Dr.Subbarayan Stree,t Marwadi Garden, Mylapore, Chennai- 600 004 and it is entered in S.No.4583 dated 01.08.2013. According to the petitioners, the said stamp paper was purchased for the purpose of a sale deed and subsequently, it did not go through https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and therefore, submitted an application for refund of the same to the second respondent and despite lapse of two years, nothing has happened and hence, came forward to file this Writ Petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 25.07.2014 may be disposed of as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Thangapandi, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5. This Court, taking into consideration the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and also the above facts and circumstances, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners' application dated 25.07.2014 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
