Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to trace out my girlfriend/fiance Noora, daughter of Syed Ibrahim, now 19 years old, residing at No.30, Tamilar Street, Tittachery, Nagapattinam - 609 703 and produce her before this Court to enable her to join the petitioner, wife and their family.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) Claiming that the detenue, aged about 19 years, was engaged to him and that she has been illegally confined in her parents' house, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the 2nd respondent-Police had secured the detenue and produced before us. On our interaction, she stated that she is not in illegal detention and she intends to be under the care and protection of her parents.

3. Since the detenue, being a major, has expressed her intention to stay with her parents, the prayer sought for in the present petition does not require consideration. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. No costs.
