PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the trial Court to conclude the trial in a time bound manner of short duration and to deliver the judgment in STC No.1 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court(Fast Track), Nagapattinam.

The limited prayer sought for in the Criminal Original Petition is for a direction to the Trial Court to expedite the proceedings in S.T.C.No.1 of 2017. A perusal of the said order reveals that though the matter was listed for Trial way back in 2017, and posted for arguments on 01.03.2019, there has not been any effective progress thereafter. Taking into account, the stage of the proceedings, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Nagapattinam therefore shall endeavor to complete the proceedings in S.T.C.No.1 of 2017 as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

2.This Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
