O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to issue the Sale Certificate in favour of the petitioners for the property situated in Flat No.H 7/D2, HIG Type, Thiruvanmiyur, which was allotted to their parents, namely, Late.Uma Chandrasekar and Late.Chandrasekar, vide allotment order in Letter No.B3/6854/02 dated 11.10.2002, based on the representation dated 07.03.2023.

The case of the petitioners is that the respondent, vide Letter No.B3/6854/02 dated 11.10.2002, has issued allotment order in favour of the parents of the petitioners in respect of the subject property, based on the application made by the parents of the petitioners and their parents died. Therefore, the petitioners have made a representation on 07.03.2023 to issue Sale Certificate in favour of them, however, the same has not been

considered so far. Therefore, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it would suffice, if the respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioners, dated 07.03.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 07.03.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
