Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 30.07.2014 within a time frame fixed by this Court. O R D E R

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner applied for DBBL arm license to the second respondent and it was rejected on 30.06.2014 and challenging the legality of the same, he filed an appeal before the first respondent on 30.07.2014 and despite the entertainment of the same, no orders have been passed and hence, came forward to file this Writ Petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Manikandhan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 30.07.2014 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
