Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in Mu.Mu.3012/2023-Aa1 dated 16/06/2023 issued by the 4th respondent infavour of the 14th respondent and quash the same and consequently directing the respondents 8 to 12 not to provide or effect any new electricity connection infavour of the 14th respondent on the basis of the No Objection Certificate issued in Mu.Mu.3012/2023-Aa1 dated 16/06/2023 by the 4th respondent infavour of the 14th respondent. ORDER

This Court Vide its common order dated 24.04.2023 in W.P.Nos.123 of 2021 and 11946 of 2023 had directed that an electricity connection be given to Sri Veda Mariamman Temple in Aarigoundanoor in Mecheri 3/8

Taluk. The cause for this Court to pass the said order was essential due to the fact that certain Kumar/14th respondent was alleged to have formed its own Committee of Trustees for managing the affairs of the Trust, even while the petitioner and his Board of Trustees are in administration. Indeed, there are civil litigations also pending before the civil Court. 2.Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5.

3.Mr.I.Syed Sibghatulla, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents 6 to 12.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner now challenges a NOC given by the Tahsildar/fourth respondent in which he said that there is no objection for granting electricity connection to the said Sri Veda Mariamman Temple.

5.The learned counsel for the TANGEDCO makes a statement that as per his instructions, electricity connection indeed has been provided only in the name of Sri Veda Mariamman Temple and not in the name of the fourteenth respondent as alleged.

6.The petitioner herein has challenged the NOC given by the Tahsidar/fourth respondent but, this Court finds that the NOC was indeed given in conformity with the order of this Court in W.P.Nos.123 of 2021 and 11946 of 2023. Inasmuch as the Tahsildar has given the NOC in conformity with the order of this Court, and given the fact the TANGEDCO is stated to have provided the electricity connection only as per the directions of this Court, nothing more needs to be decided in this Petition and accordingly it is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 22.08.2023 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No Tsg 5/8
