ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the respondents to consider petitioner letter of representation dated 05.05.20205 and to take appropriate action.

2.Mr.D.B.R.Prabhu, learned Standing Counsel (Taxes), takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3.By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

4.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner have purchased a property situated at No.14 (New No.4), Survey No.16/1, Sivananda Nagar, Kolathur, Chennai - 600 099. The petitioner's property consists of three

floors and the building is used for residential purpose alone and none of the portion has been used for commercial purposes at any time. However, the petitioner's property tax and charges were wrongly classified under the commercial tariff. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the 2 nd respondent on 05.05.2025 in this regard. However, till date the representation of the petitioner was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

5.Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation dated 05.05.2025, made by the petitioner will be considered and the same will be disposed of at the earliest point of time. 6.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and the fact that the representation made by the petitioner is pending for the past nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the four months, the 2 petitioner dated 05.05.2025 and dispose of the same on merits and in

accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
