Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2015 seeking permission to transport sand lying at Old Survey No.30, New Survey No.30/2B, Kothur Village, Machampattu, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District which belongs to Arulmigu Sri Anbupariamman Samedha Marudha Vaneeshwaraswamy temple for carrying out its renovation works. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims to be one among the Trustees of Arulmigu Sri Anbupariamman Samedha Marudha Vaneeshwaraswamy temple, situate at Kothur Village, Machampattu, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District and according to him, it is one of the oldest temples in the said locality and a sizable devotees are from in and around the nearby District, making visits to the said temple for worshipping. The petitioner also claims that the entire administration of the said temple is in the hands of the Trustees. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that on account of passage of time and also due to vagaries of weather, some portion of the structures of the temple started falling down and therefore, the Trustees of the temple decided to do renovation work and to consecrate the said temple and for that purpose, through a representation dated 26.08.2015 submitted to the respondents, prayed for permission to transport the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

sand/earth lying in the lands belonging to the temple at Kothur Village, Machampattu, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District and despite the receipt and acknowledgment of the same, no orders have been passed and hence, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
