ORDER

The transfer petition has been filed to withdraw HMOP.No.227 of 2025 on the file of the Family Court, Pondicherry and transfer to the file of the Principal Family Court, Chennai.

2.Despite service of notice on the respondent in the above transfer petition, the respondent has neither chosen to appear in person nor through counsel. Hence, the respondent is called and set ex-parte. I have proceeded to hear the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.The petitioner is the wife, who seeks transfer of HMOP.No.227 of 2025 filed by the respondent/husband before the Family Court, Pondicherry to the file of the Principal Family Court, Chennai. The petitioner is a resident of Chennai and she expresses inconvenience to attend the proceedings at Pondicherry since she may have to travel alone and additionally, she has to take care of her aged parents. 4.I have gone through the affidavit filed in support of the transfer petition and I am satisfied with the reasons stated therein and in view of the petitioner having made out a prima facie case, I am inclined to transfer the proceedings as prayed for.

5.In the light of the above, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed and the case in HMOP.No.227 of 2025 is directed to be withdrawn from the file of the Family Court, Pondicherry and transferred to the file of the Principal Family Court, Chennai. The learned Principal Family Judge, Chennai, is directed to take up HMOP.No.227 of 2025 on its own file or assign it to any of the other Additional Family Courts, subject to the pendency of cases before the Family Courts at Chennai.
