Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ order or direction in the nature of writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the grievance petition dated 12.11.2018 submitted by the Petitioner in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.1055 Home (Police.III) Department dated 01.11.2006. O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein in this Writ Petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petition dated 12.11.2018, submitted by the petitioner in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.1055 Home (Police.III) Department dated 01.11.2006.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined as Police Constable Grade II on 15.05.1981. On 09.11.1988 the petitioner was promoted as Naik and on 25.07.1995, the petitioner was posted as Grade-I Constable under the upgraded promotion scheme. On 25.07.2000 the petitioner was promoted as Head Constable. The petitioner was discharging his duties to the utmost satisfaction of his Superiors.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is entitled to monetary benefits from 09.11.1988 to till date. The petitioner gave several https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representations and the respondent granted monetary benefits from 09.11.1988 to 08.12.1993 only. The monetary benefits have not been released for the subsequent periods i.e. from 09.11.1988 to 08.12.1993. The petitioner has been sending several representations in this regard to the respondents on various occasions but the same did not evoke any response.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents conceded to the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

Since, several representations from 12.01.2015 to 30.11.2018, were not considered by the respondents, the petitioner is constrained to file this Writ Petition.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.11.2018 within a time frame.

6. Without expressing any opinion on merits, I am inclined to issue a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the Writ Petitioner's representation dated 12.11.2018, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
