(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.R.Anbalagan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate, for respondent nos.1 to 3.

2.The case of the petitioner is that a notice under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 was received by him. The notice is dated 18.07.2019 and it pertains to the terraced house situated at S.No.2A/3, Govindamedu Village, Tiruvallur Taluk. The petitioner has prayed for quashing of the said notice.

3.Against the said notice, the petitioner has an efficacious alternate remedy of preferring an appeal under Section 10 of the said Act. In this view of the matter, we are not inclined to interfere and the petitioner is relegated to the remedy of preferring an appeal under Section 10 of the said Act. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.25757 of 2019 is closed.
