This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 24.06.2024 wherein the petitioner has requested to assign work and to pay salary that is due and payable to the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.K.Kannan, learned counsel for petitioner, Mr.V.P.R.Elamparithi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for first respondent and Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for second respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she was working as a Purity Worker at the second respondent panchayat from the year 2015. The salary of the petitioner was also credited in her bank account till November 2023. All of a sudden, from May'2024 onwards, the second respondent prevented the petitioner from doing the work. The salary of the petitioner that is due and payable from December'2023 also was not paid. It is under these circumstances, the petitioner made a representation dated 24.06.2024 to the second respondent requesting the second 2/4

respondent to assign work and to pay the salary that is due and payable to the petitioner. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 24.06.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision and convey the same to the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
