ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 120B, 420, 465, 468, 471 of IPC in Cr.No.11 of 2024 on the file of the Krishnagiri District Crime Branch seeks anticipatory bail. 1/4

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he, along with the other accused, collected a huge sum of Rs. 82,00,000/- by promising to secure jobs in the Railway Department. Hence, the present case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is also one of the victims and had given money to one Shivaji, who had purportedly promised employment. He further submitted that the petitioner is willing to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court and, therefore, prayed for the grant of anticipatory bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and reported that there are specific averments in the FIR made by the defacto complainant, stating that he was directed to deposit Rs. 36,00,000/- in the account of the petitioner herein, and so far, no amount has been recovered. Hence, he strongly opposed the grant of anticipatory bail. 2/4

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the fact that the defacto complainant has deposited Rs.36,00,000/- in the account of the petitioner herein and the huge amount involved in this case (i.e., Rs. 82,00,000/-), I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 25.09.2025 Vv To
