ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the private complaint in S.T.C. No. 2949 of 2022 on the file of Metropolitan Magistrate F.T.C.-V, Saidapet, Chennai.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, both the petitioner and respondent/complainant appeared in person along with their counsel respectively. There was a compromise arrived in mediation and accordingly, now, the petitioner S.P.Chellakani handed over the demand draft for a sum of Rs. 35,00,000/- to the respondent, Manager of M/s.Ram-Nath and Co. Pvt. Ltd. in open court. So, as per the terms of settlement, the matter was compromised between the parties. They have submitted a memo of compromise and accordingly, the 2nd respondent/defacto complainant agreed to give no objection for quashing the complaint in S.T.C.No.2949 of 2022. The memo of compromise filed Page No.2 of 4

by them is recorded. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings initiated by the respondent in S.T.C.No.2949 of 2022 before the Metropolitan Magistrate F.T.C.-V, Saidapet, Chennai is quashed. The memo of compromise shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
