2.The petitioner's request to summon the Bank officials for the purpose of production of the statement of account and operational details of the respondent's salary account may be crucial for the purpose of establishing the petitioner's case. Therefore, it would be appropriate to permit the petitioner herein to summon the said officials. The reasons adduced by the court below may not be sufficient enough to deny the petitioner of such an opportunity.

3. In such circumstances, the order dated 18.11.2016 passed in C.M.P.No.4319 of 2016 in S.T.C.No.237 of 2016 and C.M.P.No.4318 of 2016 in S.T.C.No.243 of 2016 on the file of the learned Fast Track Court (Magistrate Level) No.II, Poonamallee, Thiruvallur District is set aside. Consequently, petitioner is permitted to summon the branch manager/authorised officials, State Bank of India, 594, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai -600 018, for the purpose of giving evidence.

4. With the above terms, the criminal original petitions stand allowed. The trial court is directed to dispose of the cases as expeditiously as possible. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
