ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file a final report in connection with the case in Crime No.271 of 2017 dated 15.07.2017 on the file of the respondent police.

2. Heard Mr.S.P.Yuaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 15.07.2017, no final report is filed till date.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of four weeks. 2/4

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the de facto complainant.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
