O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to file a final report in Crime No.58 of 2016, within a stipulated period.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that though the First Information Report was registered in the year 2016 for the offence under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 474 r/w 34 of IPC, no worthwhile investigation has been conducted so far. Hence, this petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that there are five accused in this case. The accused A2 and A3 were arrested and granted bail. Subsequently, A2 died in the year 2019. The allegation against the accused is that the accused by impersonating other persons created a forgery document. As soon as a report is received from the Forensic Department, final report will be filed within a period for six months.

4. In view of the above, the respondent Police is directed to conclude the investigation and file a final report within a period for six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
