O R D E R

I had directed the District Collector, Tiruppur District to forward the entire papers to the Director of Town and Country Planning to enable him to exercise the powers vested in him under the Town and Country Planning Act and the Government Orders, which govern the issue.

2. The petitioners, the State respondents as well as the private respondents state that an enquiry was held on 04.11.2025. The petitioners as well as the 8th respondent were present, but the enquiry was adjourned to enable filing of rejoinders.

3. Mr.C.Prakasam, states that as many as 250 persons have come to the office of the 2nd respondent, in order to pressurize the said officer not to pass any orders in favour of the 8th respondent.

4. Mr.P.Nethaji, vehemently denies his submission and states that only 9 of the petitioners were present on that day. He also pleads that the petitioners did not seek for time, but the concerned Officer suo motu adjourned the matter by two weeks and calling upon the respective parties to file a rejoinder. 2/4

5. The 2nd respondent shall complete the enquiry on 18.11.2025 and report this Court on the decision that he has arrived at on 24.11.2025.

6. Call the matter on 24.11.2025 'for reporting compliance'.

7. It is made clear that if any parties, viz., 9 petitioners and the 8th respondent do not co-operate with the 2nd respondent with the enquiry to be held on 18.11.2025, the 2nd respondent on the basis of the available papers can proceed and pass orders.
