The accused in Crime No.02 of 2022 investigated by DV&AC filed petition for direction to the Investigating Agency viz., Vigilance and AntiCorruption Wing to complete the investigation and file final report within reasonable time. This Court on considering the prayer vide order dated 08.03.2023 directed the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report within five months from the date of the order. The said five months period was expired on 08.08.2023, however, the final report is not yet filed. The Investigating Agency has came forward to file a petition seeking extension of time on the ground that the investigation has been completed and the final report also been drawn, the approval of DV&AC is awaited.

2. Taking note of the submission and the prayer, the petition is disposed of with direction to the petitioner to get approval of DV&AC and file the final report within 45 days from today.
