The petitioners have already filed an affidavit of undertaking that the illegal construction would be removed in the suit property and possession would be handed over on or before 30.06.2026.
2. Today, the learned counsel for the petitioners state that the petitioners have commenced the demolition work and seeks atleast another fifteen days time to enable the petitioners to complete the demolition and hand over possession to the respondent herein.
3. Learned counsel for the respondent seriously opposes for the extension contending that sufficient time has already been given and the petitioners did not take any steps and only recently, they have started demolition work.
4. Considering the fact that the petitioners have admittedly started the work of demolition , I am inclined to grant time to the petitioners to complete the demolition work and hand over vacant possession on or before 20.07.2026.
