ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the statutory appeal preferred by the petitioner as against the order of punishment imposed against the petitioner for stoppage of increment for three years with cumulative effect.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Since the order that is going to be passed in the writ petition will no way cause any prejudice to the other party, this court considers that no notice is necessary to the other side.

4. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for in the writ petition, this court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the statutory appeal preferred by the petitioner as against the punishment of stoppage of increment for three years with cumulative effect pursuant to a disciplinary proceedings, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of
