ORDER

The petitioner sought for certified copies of the document bearing No.479/2003 on payment of necessary charges. As the request has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Law is quite settled that the document once registered would partake the character of a public document in pursuant to the process of registration. In other words, a person, who applies for the copy of the same is entitled for it. Therefore, in law, the respondent cannot deny the issuance of the document sought for which is nothing but a Court Attachment Order. Even otherwise, the Court Attachment Order is also a Public Document. Therefore, looking from any angle, the petitioner cannot be denied, the document sought for.

Accordingly, writ petition is ordered directing the respondent to furnish the petitioner document bearing No.479/2003 on payment of necessary charges within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
